OBITUARIES CHARGE
   Obituary charge is $25, with an additional $5 charge for a photograph. Abbreviated obituaries are available at no charge.

CLASSIFIED ADVERTISING
   Up to 25 words, $6 per insertion. Extra words, 15 cents ea.
   CASH SPECIAL: Pay in advance and run your ad three times for the price of two.

   Rates apply for inserts quarter folded up to 6 broadsheet pages (12 page tab). Add $10 per thousand if not quarter folded. Add $10 per thousand for each additional 4 pages of tab size (2 page broadsheet).

SPECIAL SERVICES
   a. Proofs provided on all ads received by Monday noon.
   b. Tearsheets will be provided on request.
   c. Advertising layout assistance available on ads submitted before Monday noon.

R.O.P MAKEUP REQUIREMENTS
   a. Minimum display ad size, 1 column x 2 inches.
   b. Ads over 19 1/2" inches long billed for full length of column.

COPY/CONTRACT REGULATIONS
   a. We reserve right to insert the word advertising.
   b. Liability for errors shall not exceed the cost of the space occupied by the error. Correction letters will be provided on request.
   c. We reserve right to reject any advertisement.
   d. Cancellation deadlines are the same as copy deadlines.
   e. Orders accepted with no commitment for space location, although we will consider your requests.

CLOSING TIMES
   Order and copy deadline Monday noon week of publication. Monday noon for color or show proof orders. Deadlines advanced to Friday (same times), when Monday holiday occurs.

MECHANICAL MEASUREMENTS
   a. Photo offset printed.
   b. Column width 12 picas (2"), column length 21 1/2".
   c. Page size: 13" wide (6 columns) x 21 1/2" long.

CIRCULATION
   a. Established in 1902
   b. Coverage area: Saturation of Divide County and the western half of Burke County.
   c. Total distribution in market area by Wednesday noon.
   d. Circulation total 2,500 (sworn); 1,500 primary market area of Divide, Burke and northern Williams counties.
   e. Subscription rates $28.00 primary market area; $35.50 snowbirds & Williams County subscribers outside our primary market area; $42.00 elsewhere; single copy price 75¢; single copies by mail $2.50.
   f. Distribution 80% by mail. 20% by newsstand

   A special rate is available for advertisers who wish to place their ads in both The Journal and its sister publication, The Tioga Tribune in Tioga, N.D. Place any ad in The Journal and run the same ad in The Tioga Tribune for half price.
